At BeEthical, we have a hands-on role in shaping the future of artificial intelligence. Our team is deeply involved in the standardization of AI, with active contributions to key regulatory bodies and committees, both nationally and internationally.
CEN/CENELEC JTC 21 and ISO/IEC JTC1 SC42
Our participation in these significant standardization committees underscores our commitment to establishing robust AI standards at a global level. By contributing to the work of CEN/CENELEC JTC 21 and ISO/IEC JTC1 SC42, we play a critical role in setting ethical and quality benchmarks for AI technologies worldwide.
AFNOR National AI Committee
As members of the AFNOR National AI Committee in France, we seek to impact the national AI policy, driving forward the ethical agenda within the French AI community. Our involvement ensures we stay at the forefront of developments in AI ethics and regulation within France.
For Humanity
Furthering our dedication to ethical AI, BeEthical is proud to be the first European licensee of For Humanity. This non-profit association is devoted to examining and mitigating the potential risks associated with the widespread advancement of AI, algorithmic, and Autonomous Systems (AAA). Together, we aim to ensure that the rapid evolution of technology results in the best possible outcomes for humanity.
In Europe, standards are central to how companies can lawfully bring AI systems to market under the EU AI Act, because complying with harmonised standards gives a strong legal presumption of conformity with the regulation’s requirements. Unlike what many might assume, only a relatively small number of technical experts actually take part in drafting these standards in committees such as CEN-CENELEC JTC 21, and it is precisely these experts that organisations need to engage with if they want to influence how the rules are shaped in practice.
In the following map, you will find all JTC 21 experts available for consulting in each country.
